How significant to be able to make that statement. Most of us can't, and maybe never will. Certainly, everyone who contributed at home and abroad in the WWII generation can say the same. We read that quote here from a combat soldier who parachuted into German occupied Holland in Operation Market Garden, fought at Bastogne in the Battle of the Bulge, and served as a guard at Dachau concentration camp after it was liberated, preserving evidence of Nazi atrocities. Truly a remarkable story.
This is: "Roberts, a service story".
